Why shouldn't the U.S. Government be the No. 1 protector of Americans in cyberspace? After all, the government is already my primary protector against a North Korean missile launch, attacks by the Bin Laden-inspired and the meth dealers across town. So why not also make the government our front line of protection against cyberthreats?

I am of two minds regarding the Stop Online Privacy Act (SOPA), currently winding its way through the U.S. Congress. I passionately love SOPA and hate it just as much, both at the same time.
