Ephraim Schwartz

Ephraim Schwartz served as editor-at-large for InfoWorld for 12 years and is now a freelance writer who has covered every aspect of security. As a high-tech reporter for over 20 years Schwartz has written on a wide spectrum of security issues from court decisions and compliance regulations to government agency recommendations and self regulation. He has tackled such issues as tethered security in the cloud to personal security on cell phones. From Article 708 on continuity of backup power to government studies on securing cyberspace, Schwartz knows how government works and is not afraid to speak frankly as he did for many years on his popular Reality Check blog.
Prior to InfoWorld Schwartz was the editor-in-Chief of Laptop magazine, a national newsstand publication. Schwartz has also worked directly on government issues as an editor for a publicly-funded statewide association. In that capacity Schwartz served as a liaison to state and national agency officials. Schwartz will bring a fresh, honest approach to security rules and regulations.
